Hartmut Esslinger is a German industrial designer and entrepreneur. He is the founder of the design firm Frog Design, which was established in 1969 in Germany and has since expanded to multiple locations worldwide. Esslinger is best known for his work with Apple in the 1980s, where he was responsible for the design of the Apple IIc computer and the Snow White design language, which was used in Apple products for several years.
Esslinger has received numerous awards and recognition for his work in industrial design, including the Design Plus Award, the IF Design Award, and the Red Dot Design Award. He has also authored several books on design and innovation, including "A Fine Line: How Design Strategies Are Shaping the Future of Business."
